White Frame

Project

The White Frame project was launched in 2011 and is run as an itinerant association by co-founder and curator Chantal Molleur. The number of participants varies with each screening and exhibition project. A total of over thirty exhibitions and screenings have been curated and presented in Switzerland and abroad, with at least five projects being produced each year. The projects are adapted to the various locations, from museums to public space. White Frame operates mainly at the intersection of video art, film, and photography. This spectrum has been expanded in recent years to include other media such as sculpture and sound art. White Frame sees itself as a bridge builder, informing and connecting artists and the public. At the core of the structure and playing a central role in all its efforts is collaboration with others. The aim is to establish national and international networks and to generate collaborations as well as to initiate and carry out projects, thus promoting exchange between Swiss and international artists, institutions, freelance curators, festival organizers, writers, and the public.
