Dr. Kuckucks Labrador

We are a young team of curating artists stimulating collaborations and gatherings of “arty” and “non-arty” people and scenes in the field of arts. We want to link local artists with people of other areas of expertise and with artists from other national or international regions. Since 2012 we regularely organize exhibitions, festivals, performances, happenings or interventions, either in our “base camp” Kaskadenkondensator Basel or at places that match the projects. Out of an artistic point of view we operate in a society consisting of a variety of cultures, interests and life backgrounds, trying to create new energies by bringing together people, art and artists.

FABRIKculture

FABRIKculture is an open-space laboratory available to contemporary art exhibitions, cultural mediations and artists’ residence. Visual arts leverage the whole program with incentives in experimental creations. FABRIKculture is a cultural institution with cross-border and European vocation. The support for innovative projects and the support of the artists in their development constitute the first objective of FABRIKculture. The summer months welcome artists which set up residence and their own workshop. The proximity with fifteen other permanent workshops, occupied by artists of the region, should bring favorable exchanges. Due to its characteristic industrial architecture, volume and showroom dimensions, FABRIKculture differentiates itself in this multinational border region, favoring another approach to contemporary art and public interaction.
